~*~*Artist Feature*~*~

hey now folks! it's time to shine the light on another sweet etsy shop....boxwoodgoods
it's run by two lifelong friends pam and elena. they use eco~friendly fabrics such as bamboo, hemp, flax, soy and kuba grasscloth.

they offer a variety of one of a kind items... ranging from bags to napkins. all sure to be unique, funky and green!

this tote is one of my favorites listed in their etsy shop. it's made from hand woven kuba cloth and hemp. they give this description:

"Kuba cloth is a ceremonial fabric made by the Kuba people of The Democratic Republic of the Congo (formerly Zaire). Fibers from the Raphia palm are prepared, colored with local plant dyes, loom-woven and hand-embellished with cut-pile embroidery and applique. The pattern variations of the finished textiles turn each piece into a personally meaningful work of textile art. "

another gorgeous bag!! made from vintage kuba cloth and soy/hemp. it features a recycled ghanaian bottle glass bead flap closure as well.
love it!!

boxwoodgoods also makes beautiful napkins available in bamboo, flax linen and soy/hemp. who wouldn't want to use these beauties?
